Being in the kitchen, training chefs and working on traditional heirloom recipes is something I love. I had fun collaborating with Chefs at SPI Cinemas to work on ‘Good Old Classics’ food festival. This was aimed to revive old classic recipes that were not documented and standardized and to showcase it to people to give them a reminder of their childhood. Almost like memories that are kindled through food.
Here are some photos from the festival.
That was the thali I had worked on – Vaangi Bhaat, Mavinkai chitrannam (mango rice), Ellorai (sesame rice), Kadamba Saadam, Vendhaya Oothappam, Kanchipuram Idly, Saamai Pidi Kozhakattai, Thavalai Vadai, Peanut Chutney, Peerkangaai Thogayal, Ksheera & Hayagreeva Maddi (for desert)
