Itinerary:
March 3rd night: Leave to Karaikudi
March 4th – Saturday Morning :
Arrive at 7.30 a.m and reach The Bangala. A nice cup of filter coffee and check-in. After refreshing the days itinerary below:
8.15 a.m. – Breakfast
9.00 a.m. – Cooking session – Learn to cook Chettinad delicacies
1. Pineapple curry
2. Cashew nuts stew
3. Vellai paniyaram
4. Paal paniyaram
11.00 a.m. – Visit the weekly vegetable market and Soundaram Snacks.to learn to make authentic Chettinad Snacks.
Return to The Bangala for lunch. A sumptuous meal follows
3.00 p.m. – Walk around Karaikudi bazaar and Muneeswaran Koil where the antique shops are. Your vehicle will pick you up at this street to take you to Pillayarpatti for darshan at the Ganesh Temple.
Return to The Bangala and head for dinner
8.00 p.m. – Dinner.
March 5th – Sunday Morning :
8.15 a.m. – Breakfast
9.30 a.m. – Half day tour of Chettinad mansions in Karaikudi, Kanadukathan and Athangudi. While in Athangudi learn to make the Athangudi tiles.
Return to Karaikudi and visit the famous Chettinad Cotton weavers.
1.00 p.m. – Lunch at The Bangala – A sumptious meal yet again.
2.00 p.m. – Cooking Session – Learn to cook

4. Kallavittu Avial
4.00 p.m. – Visit celebrated Author and owner of The Bangala, Mrs. Meyyappan’s residence and do some last minute shopping or get an autographed copy of her book.
7.00 p.m. – Dinner at The Bangala
8.00 p.m. – Depart to the station.
